See The Gospel Transform Harvard

Imagine a Harvard characterized not by obsession with status and wealth, but instead devoted to communities of care and self-sacrificial love pointing to the welcoming, hospitable grace of God.

Imagine that the next generation of world leaders received a rigorous and intellectual moral education alongside their General Education coursework.

Imagine a spiritual and moral revival at the world's most respected institution of higher learning.

CHANGING OUR WORLD FOR CHRIST BEGINS HERE.

The Problem

The Problem

The Problem

There’s no question that Harvard is the most respected institution of higher learning in the world. Our alumni include eight U.S. presidents, three hundred fifty-nine Rhodes scholars, and sixty two living billionaires. Unfortunately, while it is known for many things, Harvard is not known for producing many Christian leaders.

Consider also that nearly seventy (70) percent of millennials raised in churches leave the church or their faith at some point during their first decade of adulthood. Simultaneously, the number of Harvard freshmen identifying as atheist or agnostic has grown by twenty (20) percent since 2013.

The Solution

The Solution

Next year, I will be interning with Harvard College Faith and Action (HCFA), one of Harvard's largest Christian fellowships and a campus ministry of Christian Union. Christian Union (CU) is an organization dedicated to producing bold, devout Christian leaders at every Ivy League school, and eventually, each of the nation’s top schools.

As a freshman, I was really afraid and intimidated by Harvard’s party culture and intense occupation with status and wealth.

HCFA provided me with caring Christian friends, engaging theological Bible studies, and opportunities to engage my campus with the Gospel. I’ve gained brothers and sisters in Christ for life, and my relationship with God has grown stronger than ever.

My Calling

My Calling

My Calling

I feel called to invest the community that sustained me and my faith throughout college. Over the course of the school year, I’ll be:

  • Working alongside five seminary-trained ministry fellows to create an environment conducive to the forging of a generation of theologically literate, evangelically passionate Christian world leaders.

  • Pursuing and gathering male freshman students and teaching them in theologically rich Bible Courses

  • Receiving training and mentorship by a staff member as I explore a call into ministry.

How You Can Help

How You Can Help

HOW YOU CAN HELP

Unfortunately, due to budgetary constraints, CU can only pay half of my salary for the year. Boston is an expensive city, and in order to live here and have the resources to do my job well, I need to raise a salary to cover rent, utilities, public transit, food, and other cost of living expenses from July 2019-May 2020.  I am so passionate about seeing God move on Harvard’s campus and witnessing God redeem the world through its graduates, but I can't do it alone.

Would you be willing to partner with me financially to see God make Christian leaders at Harvard?

In order to meet this goal, I am asking for monthly pledges of $50, $100, $200, or any other amount God lays on your heart.

You can donate by pressing the button below, or if you'd like to send a check, visit the Donate page.

My first deadline is Friday, June 30, so a quick response would be greatly appreciated!

I so long to see Harvard transformed by the Gospel. I can’t wait to get started! Thanks so much for your support!
